Day 01 : Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate
Your 5-day journey from Marrakech to Fes starts with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad. As you travel, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the High Atlas Mountains, with stops to soak in the scenery and visit the historic Telouet Kasbah, once the stronghold of the El Glaoui family, also known as the Palace of Glaoui. Around midday, you’ll reach Ait Ben Haddou for lunch and a chance to explore its famous Kasbah, a backdrop for films like The Mummy, Gladiator, and parts of Game of Thrones. From there, the trip continues to Ouarzazate, dubbed the Hollywood of Africa and gateway to the desert, home to Atlas Studios, the world’s largest film studio. You can tour the sets or visit the Taourirt Kasbah, another treasure of the El Glaoui family. The day ends at your hotel with dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Next, continue to Kelaat M’Gouna, renowned for its Rose Valley. If you visit in spring, you can wander through the valley and admire the roses in full bloom. From there, pass charming Berber villages on the way to Bou Tharar, before taking an adventurous off-road route to Dades Valley. Along the way, visit a Nomadic Berber family living in a mountain cave, share tea, and learn about their fascinating way of life.
In Dades Valley, check into your hotel and unwind.
