Your day kicks off with a 9 a.m. pickup from your Fes accommodation, then it’s off to the ancient imperial city of Meknes, known as the “Versailles of Morocco.” Stroll through its rich history as you take in the striking ramparts, grand gates, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
At its height, Meknes featured more than 50 palaces, 20 gates, and an impressive 45-kilometer city wall. Take in the breathtaking view of the Medina in this sacred city. The tour begins with a visit to the 17th-century walls and their grand gates, including Berdaïne Bab and Bab Khemis.
Start by exploring the stables (Rua), attics (Heri), and Stud. Stop by the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the only mosque in Morocco that was historically open to non-Muslims. Head out through the famous Bab Mansour El and soak in the lively atmosphere of Hedim Square. Just across the way, the Museum of Moroccan Art, "Dar Jamai," offers an impressive display of handicrafts. Then, make your way to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis to wander among 2,000-year-old remains and get a glimpse of life in the Roman Empire.
Head to Moulay Idriss, and on the way back to Fes, make a stop at Borj North or South for a stunning panoramic view of the Medina. Wrap up the day at your hotel, bringing your private day trip from Fes to Meknes and Volubilis to a close.

- For cancellations made 7 to 15 days before the travel date, 75% of the total tour cost will be charged.
- If cancellations are made within 0 to 7 days before the travel date, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
